  • Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC) will be accepting statements of interest for SD Tech Fund (clean tech fund) between Feb. 24 and Apr. 21/10. The SD Tech Fund provides funding for late-stage and pre-commercial clean technologies of Canadian companies.   • On November 5, 2009 Harris Rosen delivered a lecture to over 100 attendees at the National Association of Career Colleges' Professional Development day, held in downtown Toronto. Harris addressed the duties of instructors when they have reason to believe their employer/college may in turn have a duty to accommodate a student or prospective student under current human rights legislation. Emphasis was placed on recent case law in the Supreme Court of Canada, and cases relating to colleges and educational institutions specifically.   • June 12, 2007 - Michael Fraleigh will be speaking on Medical Negligence Claims at a programme entitled Legal Risk Management for Nurses.
  • March 5, 2007 - Harris M. Rosen was called to the Ontario Bar in 1994 and has joined the firm's Business Law Group to continue his administrative, regulatory and Private Career Colleges practice. Aside from his years in private practice, Harris also headed up a regulatory department in a public company with over 600 employees and raised venture capital to co-create a revolutionary consumer-friendly product. We are also pleased to welcome Alan Wolfish, Q.C., as our Government Relations & Education Consultant. Alan spent many years as legal counsel for the Government of Ontario and prior to his retirement from the government in 2003, he was Director of Legal Services for both the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities.
